Let's pray for this couple. I know a couple where the wife spent $70,000, and the husband had no idea she did this. When he found out he was ready to leave her, but was concerned enough about her behavior to take her to her doctor. They did tests and found out she had a brain tumor. She didn't even know she had spent the money. Also, several years ago I read story about a man who was secretly giving money to people online who said they were in need. After his wife find out she divorced him, and he lived on the street. Later she found out he had mental illness related to dementia which caused him to send money total strangers. I would suggest to Kim to persuade her husband to get physical and psychological examinations. Mental illness (listening to voices) or medical reasons may be the cause for the constant job changes and hiding credit card use. Whatever the cause for his behavior, they both need our prayers.
My ex-wife hid 161k from me in credit card debt. Which is why she is my ex.
Too many women call in complaining about their husbands. Blah blah blah. It’s always the man’s fault….victim mentality. ?

This is my current situation. He's become a total stranger to me and it's equivalent to losing someone to death.
Could simply be a case of over spending and the husband trying to shield her from all or the money issues with the hope that he'd fix it at some point. Don't know but this was just a wife looking to complain about her husband and putting all his business in the street. At what point was the 140k addressed and how to pay it off? I must've missed it.
Dear lady, your husband is in depression, bipolar. ( job changes, keeping secrets) because of polarity change (the word codipendent means this) he can't reach out to you or communicate. You have built walls around you(that is why you don't know what's going on). Open up and reach out to him. You will see that you were totally thinking wrong about him(rule out schizophrenia from your side).
Hire a private detective to look into his actions

He definitely has addiction issues and multiple addictions when that much money is involved.. Drugs, cigarettes, alcohol, gambling, cheating, prostitutes.. Possibly all of the above.. To be in that much debt when he made 200K a year..?? How many years was he making 200K as well..?? It sounds like they were once millionaires.
He still has to pay for it, so why is that an issue? If he is making the $, it is his debt.

With what she's saying he has done it sounds just like a Cluster B / Codependent relationship.
If they don't have kids, she should run for the hills and never look back!!
Also credit reports need to be ran on yourself and your spouse. Get one from a different bureau every 4 months. Example: experian in January, Equifax in April, transunion in August. Repeat each year
KIM, PULL HIS CREDIT Report, you may as well see it all and go from there.
