Refusing To Pay $80K In Student Loan Debt

Comments

Mania Beats says:

You gotta pay your loans if you chose a degree irresponsibly or because you lacked knowledge or dropped out or don’t want to get an average job or two be to pay your loan. it’s your responsibility.

Paolo Salazar says:

Classic liberals

Michelle Marie says:

Then dont go to college and dont major in things that won't land you a job

RAJohnson713 says:

The entitlement of this country is UNREAL

Investor Center says:

Encourage kids to go into skilled trades. I was talking to a plumber who owned 3 million dollars of real estate at 40 years old and never took a single college class

I G says:

Community College is not 20k a year, just saying

RightPushBack says:

the nose ring helps……lol

Investor Center says:

She expects a bank to give her a loan on a car when she clearly has stated she refuses to pay back her student loan. She is acting entitled to someone else’s money and any bank would be dumb to give her a loan

RightPushBack says:

jamie diamond hold billions in student debt…….lmao

Anon Ymous says:

30 with THAT NOSE RING? If that's not failure to launch…

Jared Aldan says:

Pay your debts bums

Josh says:

Why do I not feel even remotely bad for this entitled girl? If I took out that much debt, I would literally clean toilets to pay it off. But my parents are immigrants, and even though they never taught me about money, they taught me to appreciate the opportunity in this beautiful country. She could pay her loans off if she weren’t so intent on feeling bad about herself or preserving her entitled lifestyle. Also, who wants to guess her political affiliations? These days, hard work only means something to half of America.

The Yukster says:

Forgive/cancel student loans? Count me in as soon as I get $31k back in my checking account that I used to pay my student loan.

Tim Ly says:

You just need to learn financial literacy before attending college. Sadly it’ll usually come from your parents since school doesn’t teach this. I would also recommend doing your own research about finance and loans.

Alzar says:

Ofc, it's a journalism degree….

The Yukster says:

She said “u don’t know how much is 20k when you’re broke.”

Actually I fully well know how much $20k is because I never had it. I would tread more lightly onto things I don’t have or understand instead of “borrowing” it.

Smellybut33 says:

It is sad to see people attacking a person who really has limited options. The fact she doesn't have 1000 dollars to finish her degree is pretty telling to me, and taking more loans is not option. Second she isn't able build her credit due to fact she can't get credit card and isn't able to make payments on loans. She's pretty much stuck where nowhere to go people in comments would have her working 80 hours barely getting by just pay loan minimum payments.

Aftab Alam says:

So moral of the story is to spend every penny you earn, then take credit and spend more, and then create movement to cancel this debt. Disgusting

Tracy Albino-Daggett says:

People need to seriously educate themselves before taking out any loan. Youg People need to seriously only major in a degree that will be financially rewarding in the future. DON'T BORROW MONEY YOU CAN'T PAY BACK

JPGSTEVENS says:

The cap on public loans for undergraduates is $50,000. You can get a great education in state for $50,000. The people who chose to go to private school or out of state schools should've understood the consequences that come with that.

Alex Wolcott says:

Sad. The only way to make your decision to go deeply into debt worse is to then refuse to pay it. I get that $80k is no trivial sum of money, but it isn't a life-ruining sum either. Their lack of imagination and belief in themselves is going to doom them to a life of self inflicted poverty.

Le0 says:

Ya loans shouldn’t be handed to a 17 year old period. I don’t see banks loaning students for a home or car unless they have income or credit. Credit should at least be a requirement for taking out student loans

dot dot says:

Really smart people but dumb as sh when it comes to money. Got it!

Le0 says:

Good that you don’t have a credit card. Learn more about finances no personal finances and you will get a house in a few years. A house only makes sense if it’s treated as an asset cash flow in all forms

todd smith says:

did she really say "I don't know how to build my credit"???????? How about starting to pay off your debt for a start???

virtual p says:

This lady is literally living in poverty to prevent from paying $87k in student loans…
Now that is the AMERICAN DREAM said no one ever.

ZaZuiCs & CoMpaNy says:

Get a job honey

MajorStra says:

Disliking this because they really be promoting people to go to school if they can't afford it. Ignorance. Sounds like she went out of state to a 4 yr uni with no plan to reduce debt. Must have been relying on uncle Biden to do everything for her.

Concerned Citizen says:

Take off that nose ring, maybe you can get a job at burger king
