This is my debt update for December 2020 and a review on my progress in in the year of 2020. I started my first job in March 2020 and started paying off debt in May 2020. Making this video and reflecting on my progress this past year has relit my motivation to pay off debt in 2021.

9 Characteristics of Debt Free People (How to Become Debt Free)

What characteristics make up the debt free community? Those who become and stay debt free aren’t your typical people as so many in today’s world become consumed by instant gratification and overspending. With debt payments devouring a large chunk of our paychecks, it’s incredibly difficult to not only save up for future purchases but set aside money for wealth creation. This video covers some of the traits of people who are debt free and are able to sleep better at night and live a less stressful life because of it.

In June I had over $11,500 in credit card debt. I was inspired by Aja Dang to become completely DEBT FREE. Since June I have paid over $3,000 off of my credit card debt but I still owe about $10,500 as of August 6th. I am using Dave Ramsey’s BABY STEP method from the Total Money Makeover in order to pay off all my credit card debt. Dave Ramsey suggests to use the snowball method to pay down your debts, therefore, that is the strategy I am using to tackle my debt. Feel free to follow me along my debt free journey!
