In 5 years George will wish he had the financial understanding of the first guy
29 years of marriage. NEVER combined our finances. Separate banking accounts and credit cards. We worked together to get out of debt in our 40s. We are now debt free and retired at 54. So you dont need to combine finances to make it work.
I don't understand why young people can't save up 30 to 40k to spend on a car to avoid financing.
Event management as a degree. What an "intelligent" walking empty brained individual.
I like to keep some cash. The guy who only had $5,000 in debt is right to keep his cash. Being debt free is not as important as having cash to hand. The temptation to buy another car is intense after paying off the debt.
