The girl has a debt becasue she was studying to become someone. The boyfriend wants to get the benefits of a husband. For free. She is naive and just about to be used by an egomaniac.

This is an example of why you don’t move in with someone before marriage. Now that she’s moved in, she’s “expecting” a ring and after that ring, she’s gonna want him to pay her loans. This is what we call a “liability”. He needs to let her know that she needs to fix this and not her. She got into it before him, so she can’t wait for him to fix it.

Half a million dollars is INSANE of a debt. He can provide for her until she pays of the debt. Doctors make $100k a year she can get rid of it herself. They will not be able to have a luxurious life for 5 years but its possible

You can’t build a solid financial structure as a married couple if you enter marriage with such debts . She must pay off her debts before getting married. Also why would she want to spend money on a wedding when every cent should be going towards clearing debts .
