I really enjoyed the different scenarios. My hubby and I claimed bankruptcy 9 years ago. It was medical debt. It upset me soo bad we paid off our home and cars and have never looked back.
its annoying that people apply for bankruptcy and use their CC again and get into trouble ..I have to work so hard at 71 years old to pay off my debt

Yeah the First Lady on the first clip is literally me. I’m doing a no buy year this year and all I could think about it is damn I have so much stuff, I don’t need anything things. All I want to do is pay off my car so I can move out of my parents house and settle down somewhere. But that’s the thing though, you need to balance life as well. Like paying off debt isn’t bad because you get to learn how to meal prep, do a monthly budget, set goals, workout at home. So many things you can still do!

I don't think being obsessed with a goal is a bad thing. Ask any successful entrepreneur, they were obsessed with their goal. If your goal is paying off debt, is it really unhealthy to be obsessed with? Or is that how you achieve your goal?
In 2021 I was debt free except my house which I owed 130k to be paid for another 15 years. Same time I had 150k in my taxable account. On a whim I said screw it cashed out enough to pay off my house. Well worth it am able to contribute $2500 a month back into my investments. Should be able to repay myself in the next 3 years

people need some new plans because being a shortform content creator is going to be nearly impossible with the sale of TikTok. The creator fund is basically trash. Major creators with millions of view getting a few hundred buck a month? Find a job you can do at home if like babysitting.

We r currently saving for a new to us car, b/c unfortunately cars don’t last 4ever. No debt other than a small dental debt. I can’t imagine navigating debt & the ever increasing utility bills
Paid off 275k in debt over the last 12 years. Often those around you will not be as excited for you. Especially those holding your loan. When we paid off our home, we half expected a congrats email. Instead we got absolute silence.
Just finished paying off my $70k credit card debt that I accumulated while studying overseas for my masters a decade ago. Despite having an excellent salary it was a struggle to get on top of it. But I did and I now have my emergency fund and savings. My only debt is the mortgage ($130k).
