The U.S. national debt has surpassed $37 trillion, rising at an unprecedented pace of about $22 billion per day, with much of the spending benefiting the military-industrial complex, Wall Street, and Big Pharma rather than working Americans. Jimmy points out that, unlike FDR, who directed deficit spending into citizens’ pockets to stimulate the economy, current policies redirect funds into defense and corporate interests.
The White House is defending its economic strategy, claiming tariff revenues and growth will improve the debt-to-GDP ratio, but the gains are minimal compared to the debt’s size. The reality is that without major cuts—particularly to the Pentagon budget—the debt will continue to balloon, risking economic instability and loss of global confidence.

We are al MISSING where the extra trillions since covid are going. They spend a couple trillion more per year but the covid PPP checks are not still flowing – no one is telling us WHERE the trillions are continuing to go.

Another difference between FDR's deficit spending and today's was FDR had solid protectionism. Remember how Obama's infrastructure spending didn't has the effects it was though to have? That's because the money spent on went overseas to Chinese companies and Wall Street pockets. If the economy has money flowing through like water then, free trade is a leak in the whole system. Money leeches because it does not get spent on American products by American companies. The economy works in feedback loops. Protectionism closes the feedback loop so energy gets recycled back into the economy to have multiplier effects.
