America is bankrupted already. What difference does it make if its citizens add another trillion or so….

@harryegden3696 says:

The compounding debt of credit card debt in the US is going perfectly according to plan . The state of Delaware, which Biden represents, has these “ legalised larcenists “ resident there. What interest
Could they possibly have by trying to arrest the situation, when they are doing so well out of it .
There is an eternal constant though and that is “ debt that cannot be paid ..won’t be paid”. But meanwhile the charade continues that somehow credit card debt will be repaid , and that Argentina will be able to pay $50 billion to the IMF. The credit card companies are the perfect expression of the financialisation of the US in that paper shuffling and debt creation are only games in town. They create nothing of value yet are rich beyond measure.

@drcolster says:

The U.S owes $34 + Trillion in National Debt…..They are never going to pay that back, So everyone can clock up debt, don't pay it back…It's all going to Blow Up Soon-the Fiat system cannot continue….

@judykraska400 says:

Your Billionaires have to give back to the people, so have ours. Or we masses must change our destiny. ?Thank you.

I know a way out. Spend less than you make. The book The Richest Man in Babylon should be required reading and a test on the teachings in the senior year of high school.

A revolution for a monetary reform!!????????

@user-pc8vn6ym7r says:

0 CC or SL debt here. It's really not hard. Accept that 'living within your means' may be ramen noodles and hot dogs.

Otherwise, don't complain when TPTB call in all that debt and confiscate everything you don't actually 'own'. It's coming.

@nyerling5723 says:

Americans know personal finance but what they are taught from childhood is far more powerful and that is, what you collect defines who you are.
Pricey Cars, designer clothing,
Luxury handbags, high end cellphones, expensive shoes, watches, the keeping up with your neighbors, your child’s must have large birthday parties all define your value as a person or so we are constantly reminded by commercials, Social Media, Hollywood movies, TV shows , and social interactions.
70% of America’s GDP is based on consumer spending so its has always been “Spend baby spend!

@russellking1924 says:

I started working in the 1970’s and saw this before. I saved back then and bought a cheap car. My credit card debt is 2/3 of what the average is for my bracket. We all have a financial lesson to learn.

@dt7884 says:

No worries! Just continue to print more money. I piece of cake!
