"a lot of medical bills" in the debt…. Yet there is 150k student loans which only leaves 34k…. I think you're putting way more weight on the "medical debt" than you should.

Letting people have stupid degrees that’s only pay 1/8 of the cost is stupid.

Linda Baumgartner says:

GOD bless this family!

GP says:

20k in “finance” with a Masters degree? Probably a cashier at Starbucks. Being a teacher is another signal that you didn’t acquire any marketable skills in grad school. It seems they both impulsed overpaying for worthless graduate degrees. My Masters allows me to work part-time and my take home pay is more than their household income. Don’t be stupid and ruin your life. Think ROI before committing to a degree people!

IRON-PANDA says:

'Get a career' with no 'how' listed.

'Make more money' can't be the answer by itself.

Adriana Garnier says:

She needs to apply for Medicaid.. That would help alleviate some of the stress.

Stephen Jardine says:

No one should be in the situation.

Pershh H says:

If the family checks the comments please evaluate your health insurance plan next year very carefully. a consumer driven health plan could help out. Especially since you already know your medical costs. Best of luck ?

mari lopez says:

? heartbreaking.

Manny Jean Pierre says:

The epitome of a proverbs 31 woman. You can feel her strength through the call. They'll make it. Guy has a good wife behind him

The Great Minimalist says:

Finally, a caller on Dave Ramsey's show that doesn't make six figures lol
