Good luck. I may be a negative Nancy, but she explained so much about how much she goes through for the kids/medical needs. But they owe 180k and 150k is THEIR SCHOOL MESS.

Debt sucks.
1. Rent. 2. Utilities. 3. Food. Everything else is secondary. I say send in what you can. Most places will be happy and accept some kind of payment.

"a lot of medical bills" in the debt…. Yet there is 150k student loans which only leaves 34k…. I think you're putting way more weight on the "medical debt" than you should.

20k in “finance” with a Masters degree? Probably a cashier at Starbucks. Being a teacher is another signal that you didn’t acquire any marketable skills in grad school. It seems they both impulsed overpaying for worthless graduate degrees. My Masters allows me to work part-time and my take home pay is more than their household income. Don’t be stupid and ruin your life. Think ROI before committing to a degree people!
'Get a career' with no 'how' listed.
'Make more money' can't be the answer by itself.
She needs to apply for Medicaid.. That would help alleviate some of the stress.
