Once again, we have used the Dave Ramsey baby steps and are debt free except for our house that we hope to have paid off in 5 years. We are both in our early 30s.
Debt sucks y'all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nicholas Emanuel Wheeler says:

40K? I paid off a student loan and a used car for thousands less.

Nocturnal X says:

Do people not do some research before co-signing loans for people? Horror story after horror story.

C Leh says:

The whole family is stupid. P.S. your wife needs to get her job back tomorrow.

Blue's Clues for Fools says:

"mistakes were made" he keeps using such passive language! He needs to emotionally and psychologically own up to HIS mistakes

c103110a says:

Yes, but, do the new cars talk, sync with your fancy phone and parallel park themselves like in the commercials ?

Dp Born says:

Luckily I’ve learned young that car payments are stupid and haven’t had one in 10 years. I’ll drive any vehicle I own until the wheels fall off and will never buy new because it isn’t necessary. I’ve co-signed one vehicle in my life and will never do that again either. If you need a co-signer that means you can’t afford what you’re about to do and asking anyone to do that says a lot about you.

jvolstad says:

Co-signing a loan. Dumb, dumb, dumb!

Mr. Wick says:

I want that Jokermobile in the thumbnail.

Brandon Caldwell says:

Hehehehe he would freak if he knew my truck payment and loan amount. I had to buy bigger truck. My older truck cant tow what i needed and older trucks are all torn up. i had to buy new. I am throwing more money onto it though.

Arie Fraiser says:

I've cosigned once for someone and never doing that again. It's not because this person was ever late or irresponsible and in fact it helped her graduate nursing school. it's because I didn't realize how awful a feeling it was to not control debt that you're accountable for.

It also shows up on your credit report as your debt which may complicate things when applying for a home loan.
