Fives says:

Do you need to read the first book , to understand this book?

Notthedroids Yourelookingfor says:

This book made me care about Han Solo for the first time ever. Now I might even go watch the movie.

Liam O’Hare says:

I quite liked the first aftermath, not read life debt yet, I have ordered It, but I felt like the first aftermath set up this trilogy of books well

Jack Land says:

The setup for these Aftermath books should've been this: book 1 would stay the same except it would feature more interludes with familiar characters. Book 2 would be almost all about Han and Chewie since Chuck Wendig could write more about them after the release of episode 7. Book 3 would straight up be the full on battle of Jakku and what was being excavated there. Each book would have a different main cast to make the galaxy seem big.

do reviews with perry!

Grand Admiral Thrawn says:

Still can't figure out what the 'amazing reveal' he was talking about is. Finished the book and i didn't think anything was that big of a reveal.

james Katz says:

I can't stand Greg grunbherg or Kevin James. As soon as he showed up in 7 I was taken right out.

redcookster71 says:

a few chapters in and so far so good : ! I loved aftermath , getting new characters and widening the star wars universe as well as following the broken empire trying to get a grip on what to do now! so happy this is a trilogy of books ! lost stars still my favourite ! 🙂

Josiah Ward says:

Spoiler review coming? I don't have time to read, and want to know the spoilers!

AnakinDidNothingWrong says:

One of the reasons people did not like aftermath was because Luke, leia, and Han were not major characters. This should not be a reason as it is setting up for how the empire had fallen and told through different characters. The book was not the best but it should not have been hated on for that reason.

YogGroove says:

I've totally blocked from my mind what I read in "Aftermath 1". I don't want to read that "Roger, Roger" bullshit again in order to figure out what's going on in this one.

Chris Wright says:

Maybe it's just me but it seems Harloff is starting to like everything now…hoping he's not caving to the Disney machine. he sure was weak on the movie review of 7 and light on this 2nd book.

After Wendigs behavior towards criticism last time…he should've been canned from writing another SW book. so unprofessional and kind of a dick.

these new canon books are just really weak without s bad author.

bestgtor22 says:

There isn't really any huge reveals imo but there is some real strong evidence for some unanswered questions about characters and things shown in Ep 7.

Tom Hanks says:

Where does it rank for you?

Robert Storms says:

M1K3Mc533 - says:

The author kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I read the first book, didn't like it. Also looked on his blog, he is extremely preachy and very defensive, never accepting constructive criticism. He gave me the impression that he's using this opportunity to preach about LGBT rights, rather than using the platform to write a good star wars book. I think I'll skip out on Wendig's books, despite how good this review sounds.

Scott Korin says:

I wasn't happy with Wendig's writing style in the first book, so I'm glad that's gotten better. I liked the characters (except for Temmin Wexley, although he gets better when he ages). So I'm excited for this one now. I also just saw another excerpt where we see a TFA character show up. Not saying who…

jstarwars360 says:

Aftermath wasn't a bad book because it didn't explain much of the larger conflict its because the characters sucked.

deathsdoor07 says:

In Kristian I mean Darth Harloff I trust.

giorgos volaris says:

who is the mysterious admiral? is he thrawn

Rocko Steel says:

ok I have had it, can someone tell me who the mystery admiral is. I need to know.

Zizusami says:

do a spoiler review

Alithia451 says:

How many people still know Krull?

EOSPHORUS The GraceFallen says:

I hope the reveal is about the mysterious admiral!

Alithia451 says:

Aftermath is just horrible.

EOSPHORUS The GraceFallen says:

i totally disliked Aftermath 1 but I read it 'cause it's canon & I wanna know what's going on.
I'm gonna read this book too. Hope it's FAR better than the previous.
i usually read/listen to critics but regardless of what they say I read the book 'cause I wanna make my own judgement & I love SW stories. And since all books that are coming are canon I wanna read them so I know what happened & why it happened.

Trey Mitchell says:

So happy you liked it. Couldn't even finish aftermath. Was disappointed with Bloodline too. LOVED Lost Stars and Lord's of the Sith.
