Adam three words for you: Private military contractor

How to BA Business Analyst says:

This is sad to hear !! Just getting into this level of debt is so sad and crippling. Who wants to be trapped into a job they hate

jfish147 says:

Should probably look at falling off the radar and working on underground economy. Just walk away from that debt. Live off the grid.

Brian Waller says:

By the way if you've gotten coronavirus and recovered you're now lifetime medically disqualified for the military

Nitro Needy says:

Poor fella. Dave's best answer is ""scratch and claw" to make a job prospect happen and "work like a maniac."

Yeah, 99 percent of Americans know that routine.

Let's each pray for that brother.

Paul Nightwolf says:

That guy shafted himself he could a got a free college While in the militaryon active duty And instinct tuition

Local Fixx says:

A master in CJ is in demand. I'm thinking paralegal or community college instructor, cyber-security, networking. They'd probably give him all of the hours he could handle as a paralegal. There may be some management positions he can apply for too. I don't know too much about US Customs, but I'm not sure if they would hire a medical retirement. I always thought that was rather physical. Border patrol is the same way. But maybe try investigator with local police or sheriff.

Search "jobs with masters in criminal justice". There are more than what they list there: instructor and paralegal, maybe a professional mediator too, arbitration/mediation. There a chance he can get a full-time gig and do one of the others on the side. Such as paralegal and teaching or consulting. If he's Christian, get solid there and seek guidance from a pastor. If he's determined to avoid Christianity, I would at least suggest proper nutrition, rest and exercise (whatever his medical issue will allow), but stay as mobile as possible. I like having an emergency fund first. But since the caller mentioned motivation and sounded down, I would focus on feeling better and not work against himself. Proper diet and rest can make a huge difference.

Drone Ultimatum says:

This is so sad. Good luck.

Jim Curtis says:

He should look into PFL if he's been in the public sector for 10+ years. Long shot, but worth a try maybe.

yamamancha says:

Stressed, depressed, in debt, with medical issues, and trying to get into law enforcement.
I'm sorry, am I the only one thinking this isn't the profile of someone who should be handed a badge, gun, and the "benefit of the doubt" protections provided by the justice system?

Josh H says:

Border patrol average salary is 60. Over 100k is rare

Southern Guitar Man says:

I'd like to know what kind of a payment 180k produces every month. Maybe 2k? Then the car, rent lights food phone and insurance? Yikes!

Jardin Gwin says:

I just got my AAS (associates of applied science) degree on May 7th with zero debt. I know it’s just the first two years of college but I plan to get bachelors it’s just when i get it i will be paying cash for it.

ypm 123 says:

He should have joined in the military for 3-4 years then used his benefits to pay for his bachelors at a public university. Criminal Justice is not a bad major and he could have avoided the debt.
Then with the degree he could have became an officer in the military.
It doesn’t seem like he had anyone advising him ?

Don says:

Dude this hits me like a dagger ?

matt debrouwer says:

Paying each semester by cash is the way to go. Slow and steady wins the race without going into debt.

chwparker says:

The mantra of our times – and it really needs to change.

Todd Vaught says:

Horrible! Let's give everybody who has a boo boo a medical militart retirement…..but WHO will pay for it? This is a disgusting episode. Please erase…as it does not deserve to be broadcasted.

IWillSurvive says:

Biden is going to eliminate student loans. Vote blue in November ??
