Prepping On Credit | Top 5 Preps Worth Taking On Debt
Should you take on debt in order to be better prepared? This question comes up often in the prepper community. Here’s my answer.

It’s easy to generalize everything into either good or bad. Wrong or right. Yes or not. And when prepping for SHTF style scenarios, it’s easy to say “No, don’t get into debt as a prepper.” But, are there some exceptions to that rule? I feel that there might be. I am not a financial advisor so never make any financial decisions based on what I have to say. I am just sharing my experiences with utilizing debt to become better prepared for any emergency.

Do you feel that there are other things related to preparedness that justify taking on debt?

I will say that I have gone into debt when purchasing "Freedom Seeds", "Bang Sticks", and other supplies such as a Solar Generator, Freeze Dried Foods, and other accessories…
The key is to pay off those debts as soon as possible. It worked for us!

I'm going to disagree with you 100%. Debt is NEVER worth it. When the financial system fails, debt is one way they WILL control you. If you don't have the cash, dont buy it.

I used to be is big debt, I paid it off in 2020. Never have been happier and free! If you don't have debt you are never tied down! And remember, if you haven't paid it off, you never owned it. This includes your house/land. If you don't pay they will collect said items.

Honestly, I see zero wrong with this concept. If SHTF happens (looking more and more likely) then who cares about a credit score?
