My wife and I just received a phone call yesterday from what seem to be an old scam from an old credit card debt that we had back in 2006. And this lady was threatening us to take us to court she said it was charged off in 2013 but we filed for bankruptcy in 2009 and it was part of it. Threaten us in a civil matter saying something about the judge it was just really crazy. It doesn’t even show up on her credit report or even mine? How legitimate is this?
Unfortunately I had to find out the hard way after paying $1400 ASSuming it was going to boost my credit. Only to drop it over 60 points once I paid it off

You should pay legitimate collections offices. Because if you plan on needing a loan you need to make your credit score better. Don't be a lame ass poor ass debter.

So I’ve actually paid off collection agencies and part of our agreement between each other was they have to report to the credit bureaus that it was paid off and they did in my credit score did go up so I don’t fully agree with what this guy hast to say my credit score is a 660 and the only reason why it’s not the 700 yet is because I have a high credit card usage and Student Loans but yes my credit did boost over 100 points by paying off collection agencies.
I have no respect for doctors. They hire debt collectors to make intimidating, lying, offensive calls to people to get them to pay up. In the 1990s before Obamacare, it was scary. Letters, phone calls… you knew the doctors were behind it. Asylum doctors with greed. Doctors are greedy and evil, let's be clear about that. Maybe that's why covid is killing much of them, the universe is taking vengeance of their evil… who knows. Was terrible to me. I was so scared. To this day, during covid, I have not being inside a hospital or clinic. I am scared of anyone in white clothes and won't let anyone inject a covid vaccine in me. I don't trust doctors or nurses… they're money vampires, is all to me.
I kinda did something crazy on this. last year I accidentally answered my phone and this "debt collector" called claiming they were looking for me on a debt that I don't recognize. I made up a foreign accent and told them to never call my phone ever again. Haven't heard from them since and after that I immediately went to credit karma and saw that "debt" never even existed. Yep nice try ?
Only reason I believe is because they can freeze accounts or garnish….thats what I think ?

try paying your debts, collectors can take legal action, can contact you , and the longer the debt is unpaid it will be marked on your credit file as an unpaid debt
Brilliant info dude. A company sold me a mobile phone contract @ £18 per month. The seller offered me some more SIM cards to gove them to my friends or family. Initially I refused but he kept insisting. I asked him to send me two additional SIM cards. Later on they sent me first bill of £135 within 15 days. When enquired they said all the 3 SIM cards were contracts. I refused to pay. The second bill came after another 15 days which was £450. I did not pay a single penny and they blocked the inly one SIM card I had used after one month. Frw months later they send me a bill of £5600 which is now with the debt collection agency.

This video is full of inaccuracies and false information. An individual is legally liable to whoever the account is sold to. Also, credit reports are updated after an account is paid. Original contracts are sold with portfolios. This guy is a moron.
So I should just sit on these negative remarks on my credit forever ans do nothing about it? You give ZERO solution to the problem.
