Using you're credit card for rent is insane, credit cards have such high interest rates a rent debt would get out of control very quickly. A combination of savings and unemployment got me by but if I were in the situation where I couldn't pay rent because the government wouldn't let me work I would refuse to pay rent they can't evict us all or rent a room. I wish I could move to the country but don't know how I'd make a living my job is only found in the city.
People paying rent with credit cards should realize they’re broke and just move out. If no friends or family to move in with just get a tent.
Yet 3 rentals on my street were rented for top $$ within 3 days of listing. Who is renting them? I thought we had 40 million plus unemployed?

LOL just got a faux flashback of an old TV show of a landlord walking around with a credit card terminal wrapped around his torso with a strap, collecting the rent, going door to door. They'll take it, they'll definitely sign up for a merchant account LOL
My landlord only takes cash, check, or money order. I stopped getting those checks for cash credit offers also no new credit card offers a while back. I have excellent credit and a little over $11,000 worth of credit in cards. The day i'm down to using those credit cards to somehow pay for rent my life is in complete dire straits and homelessness probably not far off.
My local Chinese Restaurant started accepting credit cards, debit cards when the last 15 years it's been cash only.
